12/12/2023 0 Comments Winchester safe locked outIf your safe has the barrel key override, open your safe and remove the inside panel on the door. I did not look into replacing the electronic mechanism as the other pro locksmith guy said, although after dealing with this twice, I'm thinking it may be worth saving up for. Forget the BS 35 dollar charge from Winchester for your recovery. Idk if that helps you or not but that's been my experience. As I said the fresh battery was not the problem, and the old one would probably still be going. Daily use has yielded no problems since this post, and it's still on the same battery from when I put a fresh one that day. I'd lie if I said I just left it overnight, I was up trying to fuck with it several times, just doing things like replacing the battery and confirming wire quality and connection. Wait at least 20 seconds, then reinstall the batteries and reconnect the wiring. If everything is intact, disconnect the wire from the keypad, and remove the batteries. Remove the keypad and inspect the wires to see if they have come loose, are kinked, or cut. Once completed, fax or mail the forms to us for. As with any electronic device, wiring can get disconnected and/or damaged. The dial lock on a Winchester Safe is a Sargent and Greenleaf (S&G) mechanical combination lock with either a front or top reading dial and dial ring. Both times I got stuck here, and after leaving it overnight, seems to have fixed itself somehow. If the lock still does not open, please go to our COMBINATION/KEY REQUEST section and follow the instructions. Both times it was the same thing, part of the keypad stops, replacing the battery does nothing, if I keep fucking with it I can get the beeps to become long beeps on every button press. Yeah this post is referring to the second time it has done that while in my possession (over a year).
